If you have the desire to help Wabaseemoong’s youth achieve a better life through cultural & traditional awareness and representation of youth concerns now is your chance. Kenora Chiefs Advisory is requesting a Letter of Interest from interested Wabaseemoong Members (on & off reserve) for a place on the KCA Youth Council. The expectations of KCA Youth Council members are:
- Represent your community at meetings, trainings and or workshops.
- Act as an ambassador for KCA initiatives on behalf of your respective community.
- Work towards achievable and sustainable goals for inclusion in KCA planning.
- Promote the inclusion of youth voices and work to strengthen the representation of diversity through youth involvement.
- Collaborate with other youth representatives from KCA member communities to consult with Elders and other target groups regarding concerns of youth.
- Share knowledge of your community and voice your concerns on behalf of the youth population.
- Promote cultural & traditional awareness and identity to youth within the KCA communities.
You must be 18yrs – 29yrs old and a Wabaseemoong member. This is open to both on and off community members.
