Mission

Our mission is under the guidance of Wabishki Makinaakoons (Little White Snapping Turtle), Wabaseemoong Child Welfare Authority in unity strives to provide exceptional services to children and families through our traditions, culture, values, and language.

Role of Our Caregivers

The Caregivers act as a stand-in parent and a life guide to a child by providing the familial setting and the necessary support for growth and development. The ultimate goal is to protect our Anishinaabe Abinooji and to support the healing & wellbeing of our families.

This shared responsibility between Wabaseemoong Child Welfare Authority and the Caregiver requires a unique partnership in order to achieve a child’s best interest. The partnership is based on honesty, respect, and trust in working together as a team in the delivery of services to our children.
