The Ma’iingan Emergency Services Team is a 24/7 operated emergency line to help assist the community members of Wabaseemoong and the clients of W.C.W.A.
At any point there is a family emergency involving children, Ma’iingan will respond to help keep the families together, and safe.

These emergencies can range from:

  1. Assisting a troubled youth.
  2. Search and Rescue.
  3. Medical emergencies.

The Program

Our team was developed to help assist the clients of W.C.W.A outside of normal business hours, but it soon became much more.

Becoming a 24/7 emergency service in late 2022, we help assist you with any concerns, issues, or emergencies you may have. Depending on your location, you can reach out to the Kenora Emergency number, the Whitedog emergency number, or contact the W.C.W.A head office.

It will direct you to the crisis line that will dispatch Ma’iingan.
