The Traditional Family Healing Unit’s directives focus on healing.

Mental, spiritual, physical, and emotional are the focal points in the day-to-day services of the Traditional Family Healing Unit. Services include traditional parenting, land-based life skills, mental support, emotional support, advocation support, cultural healing, ceremonial healing, ceremonial support, cultural teachings, cultural rejuvenation, traditional rejuvenation, survival skills, and meals on wheels.

Services are first offered to the children, youth, and families that WCWA services, then to the extended family, and lastly the community as a whole.

    Courage is being brave in the face of life’s problems.

    Never lie, cheat, steal or gossip. Be honest with yourself and others. Speak from your heart. Be true to your word.

    Wisdom is gained through experience and knowledge. To have wisdom is to know the difference between right and wrong.
  • The Wolf – HUMILITY—Dbaadendiziwin
    Humility is to live your life free from arrogance, to not be boastful, and to have a modest sense of your own worth.

    Always seek truth. Living the truth is living the Seven Teachings.
